BRUCE CECERE, art ironworker, PANTIN

Bruce Cecere built his world during his studies and his professional experience in France and Italy.

He discovered and learnt to treat metals in sheets. Guided by talented masters, he became an apprentice in a firm and obtained a mastership with the Compagnons. He remained seven years in a workshop. He left France to go in Italy where he remained nearly four months. He entered a school in Venice and, surrounded by well known masters, he worked on a conservation project, an opportunity to learn the concept of conservation and restauration.

Back in France, he became director of the Ateliers Bataillard and of the Maison Meilleur and, eight years after, he opened the ATELIER BRUCE CECERE. An art of fire and curve, art ironworking is caracterised by the artistic quality of the works. Ingenious, precise, patient, Bruce Cecere has an artistic sensibility.

In search of the volutes and curves perfection, he makes in his workshop decorative pieces like staircases ramps, pieces of furniture or lighting. Bruce Cerere shapes by hand the iron heated with a forge or a blow pipe. His prefered material is iron, but he works also with copper and brass. Each material demands a particular technic and know how.

Bruce Cecere works with architects, decorators, designers and private people.
